Josh Malihabadi was a renowned Urdu poet, writer, and philosopher. He was born on December 5, 1898, in Malihabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. His real name was Shabbir Hasan Khan, but he became famous by his pen name, Josh Malihabadi.

He is considered one of the greatest poets of Urdu literature, known for his passionate and revolutionary poetry. His work covers a wide range of topics, including love, philosophy, social issues, and politics. He was also a prominent figure in the Indian independence movement and used his poetry as a medium to raise awareness and inspire people to fight for their rights.

Some of his famous works include "Sat Tahriren," "Junoon-e-Intezar," and "Shola-o-Shabnam." He was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 1954 and the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1958 for his contributions to Urdu literature. He passed away on February 22, 1982, in Islamabad, Pakistan, where he had migrated after the partition of India.
