ग़ज़ल

तुम ही हों नर्गिस गुलाब हो तुम

चमन का खिलता शबाब हो तुम

वरक वरक पर है नाम जिसका

वो ज़िंदगी की किताब हो तुम

लिखूँ मैं तुमको पढ़ूँ मैं तुमको

मोहब्बतों का निसाब हो तुम

शगुफ्ता चेहरा अदाएं दिलकश

मेरा हसीं माहताब हो तुम

जो दिल के तारों को मेरे छेड़े

वही खनकता रबाब हो तुम

बदन, बदन पर हैं सौ खरोंचें

बदन, बदन का हिसाब हो तुम

वो कह रहे हैं मेरे सवालों का

एक "शिज़ा" जवाब हो तुम

The one who strums the strings of my heart

You are the resonating lute

Body, body has a hundred scratches

You are the account of the body, body

They are saying to my questions
