تجھ کو میری نہ مجھے تیری خبر جائے گی
عید اب کے بھی دبے پاؤں گزر جائے گی

ظفر اقبال

The poem expresses the sentiment of reconciliation and forgiveness during the occasion of Eid, despite past grievances or conflicts.

You will not hear of me, nor will I hear of you
This Eid too shall pass with downcast feet

The couplet expresses a sense of separation or distance between two individuals, and the idea that the passing of time, even during a festive occasion like Eid, cannot erase the feelings of loneliness or estrangement.

Eid is, after all, the name of seeing each other"

We used to meet on Eid and Diwali
Now we hug each other fearfully

The couplet expresses the sense of fear and caution that has arisen due to the current situation, where physical contact with others has become risky. It contrasts the past joyous occasions of Eid and Diwali, where people would come together to celebrate and embrace each other, with the present situation where hugs and physical contact have become a cause for concern.
