शिद्दत-ए-एहसास-ए-तन्हाई जगाया मत करो 

मुझ को इतने सारे लोगों से मिलाया मत करो 

तुम हमारे हौसले की आख़िरी उम्मीद हो 

तुम हमारे ज़ख़्म पर मरहम लगाया मत करो 

आख़िरी लम्हात में क्या सोचने लगते हो तुम 

जीत के नज़दीक आ कर हार जाया मत करो 

एक आँसू भी बहुत है बहर-ए-ईसाल-ए-सवाब 

हम ग़रीबों के लिए दरिया बहाया मत करो 

लोग अफ़्साना बनाते हैं ज़रा सी बात का 

तुम हमारे नाम पे नज़रें झुकाया मत करो

Do not awaken the intensity of loneliness
Do not introduce me to so many people

You are the last hope of our courage
Do not apply balm to our wounds

What do you think about in the final moments?
Do not lose when you are near victory

One tear is enough for the reward of good deeds
For us poor, do not shed a river of tears

People create stories from the smallest things
Do not lower your eyes at the mention of our name
