 शाम के जुदाई के बारे में अब मत पूछो, वह आई और चली गई।
दिल था कि फिर से खुश हो गया, जान थी कि फिर से संभल गई।

तेरे ख्यालों की महफ़िल में, तेरे हुस्न की शमा जल गई।
दर्द का चाँद बुझ गया, जुदाई की रात ढल गई।

जब तुझे याद किया, सुबह महक उठी।
जब तेरा गम जागा, रात मचल गई।

दिल से तो हम हर बात साफ करके चले थे।
उनके सामने बात बदल गई।

आखिरी रात के हमसफ़र फैज़, पता नहीं क्या हुए।
किस जगह सबा रह गई, सुबह किस तरफ निकल गई।

Don’t ask about the evening of separation now, it came and passed.
The heart was once again consoled, the life once again steadied.

In the gathering of your thoughts, the candle of your beauty was lit.
The moon of pain dimmed, the night of separation passed.

When I remembered you, the morning blossomed.
When your sorrow awakened, the night became lively.

With all honesty, we had settled everything.
In front of them, the words changed.
