दिलबर से हम अपने जब मिलेंगे

इस गुम-शुदा दिल से तब मिलेंगे

ये किस को ख़बर है अब के बिछड़े

क्या जानिए उस से कब मिलेंगे

जान-ओ-दिल-ओ-होश-ओ-सब्र-ओ-ताक़त

इक मिलने से उस के सब मिलेंगे

दुनिया है सँभल के दिल लगाना

याँ लोग अजब अजब मिलेंगे

ज़ाहिर में तो ढब नहीं है कोई

हम यार से किस सबब मिलेंगे

होगा कभी वो भी दौर जो हम

दिलदार से रोज़-ओ-शब मिलेंगे

आराम 'हसन' तभी तो होगा

उस लब से जब अपने लब मिलेंगे

Hoga kabhi wo bhi daur jo hum

Dildaar se roz-o-shab milenge

Aaraam 'Hasan' tabhi to hoga

Us lab se jab apne lab milenge

The moment we finally meet our Beloved,

that is when we will truly meet this lost heart of ours.

Who knows, now that we have parted

when we will ever meet them again.

Life, heart, consciousness, patience, and strength—

all these will return to me with just one meeting with them.

The world is tricky; be careful who you give your heart to,

for here you will encounter people of strange natures.

Outwardly, there seems to be no way, no means,

by what reason or excuse shall we meet our Friend (Beloved)?

That time will come someday, when we

will meet our Heart-Stealer day and night.

Only then will there be peace, 'Hasan',

when my lips meet those beloved lips.
