Lehar khushi ki aate hi chali jaati hai

Aur ghadi gham ki jaate jaate jaati hai

Badi ka ant hai kahin aas paas,

Neki ka kahin koi ant nahin

Kitaab neki ki padh le bande

Iska bada koi granth nahin

लहर ख़ुशी की आते ही चली जाती है
और घड़ी ग़म की जाते जाते जाती है
बदी का अंत है कहीं आस पास,
 नेकी का कहीं कोई अंत नहीं
किताब नेकी की पढ़ ले बंदे
इसका बड़ा कोई ग्रंथ नहीं धर्मेंद्र

The wave of happiness comes and swiftly departs,

but the hour of sorrow lingers, taking its time to leave.

The end of evil is always somewhere near,

But goodness (virtue) has no end anywhere.

Read the book of kindness, O human,

there is no scripture greater than this.
