तालीम के मीनार न रोशन दिखाई दें

कहता यही है इनकी सदाओं का ज़ाविया

रोज़ाना श्मअ-ए-इल्म ओ अदब के मुखालिफ़िन

तब्दील कर रहे हैं हवाओं का ज़ाविया

— उबैद आज़म आज़मी

The minarets of education do not appear illuminated,

This is what the angle of their voices proclaims.

Every day, the opponents of the lamp of knowledge and literature

Are changing the direction (angle) of the winds.
