جب اپنی گھر میں خزانے بہت
ہیں
رنگ نیا ہے لیکن یہ گھر
پرانہ ہے
یہ کوچہ میرا جانا پہچانا
ہے
کیا جانے کیوں اڑ گئے پنچھی
پیڑوں سے
بھری بہاروں میں گلشن
ویرانہ ہے
दर-ए-गैर पर भीक मानगो न फन
जब अपने ही घर में ख़ज़ाने बहुत
हैं
रंग नया है लेकिन ये घर पुराण
है
ये कूचा मेरा जाना पेहचाना है
क्या जाने क्यों उड़ गए पंछी
पैरोड से
भरी बहारों में गुलशन वीराना
है

Don't beg for anything at
the door of others
When there are plenty of
treasures in your house
The paint is new but the
house is old
This street is much familiar
to me
Do you know why the birds
flew from the trees?
