Jigar Muradabadi was a renowned Indian Urdu poet, born in the year 1890 in Muradabad, a small town in Uttar Pradesh, India. He was widely known for his ghazals, which are a form of poetry in Urdu language. His real name was Syed Muhammad Hussain, but he was popularly known by his pen name, "Jigar Muradabadi".

Jigar Muradabadi's poetry is characterized by its deep emotional content and simplicity of language. He wrote on a wide range of topics, from love and relationships to social and political issues. He was known for his ability to express complex emotions in a simple and relatable way. "Mere Dil, Jiger, Kidney, Liver Ho Tum

Waqt-Bewaqt Aaye Vo Fever Ho Tum"

(You are my heart, liver, kidney and spleen,

Sometimes you give me fever)

Jigar Muradabadi passed away on 9th September 1960 but his poetry will always be remembered and will be loved by the people of all ages. Har Shakhs Muskuraayega Magar Chehra Tera Na Hoga"

(Whenever someone will remember you in the gathering, everyone will smile but no one will have your face)

 

"Tere Bina Jeena Nahi, Tere Bina Marna Nahi,

Tere Bina Kuch Bhi Nahi, Tere Bina Har Kuch Nahi"

(I can't live without you, I can't die without you,

Without you nothing is there,

Without you everything is nothing)

"Tere Ishq Mein Jalte Rahe, Yeh Zindagi Guzar Di,

Jigar Muradabadi Yeh Zindagi Guzar Di"

(I have spent my life burning in your love,

Jigar Muradabadi, I have spent my life)
