Ahmad Faraz with English translations:

 

"Khud se bhi zyada tujhe chahne lage hain hum,

Ab yehi haqiqat hai ke tujhe pane lage hain hum"

(Translation: We have started loving you more than ourselves,

This is the reality that we have started to attain you)

 

"Bahut kuch kehna hai magar khamosh rah jate hain,

Aankhon se wo alfaz jo dil mein reh jate hain"

(Translation: We have a lot to say but we stay quiet,

Those words that stay in our hearts, never come out of our eyes)

 

"Waqt ke haath mein jo kuch bhi hai, wo hai waqt ke haath mein,

Hum bhi hain, tum bhi ho, sab hai waqt ke haath mein"

(Translation: Whatever is in the hands of time, is in the hands of time,

We are also, you are also, and everything is in the hands of time)

 

"Sab kuch hai magar, kuch bhi nahi hai,

Jab tum nahi ho, sab kuch nahi hai"

(Translation: Everything is there, but nothing is there,

When you are not here, nothing is there)

 

"Tumhare bina jeena mumkin nahi hai,

Tumhari yaadon se abh bhi marna mumkin nahi hai"

(Translation: It's not possible to live without you,

It's not even possible to die without your memories)

 

"Tum meri zindagi ho, tum meri bandagi ho,

Tum meri rooh ho, tum meri jaan ho"

(Translation: You are my life, you are my worship,

You are my soul, you are my life)

 

"Tere ishq mein kho gaye hain hum,

Tere ishq mein jeena seekh gaye hain hum"

(Translation: We have lost ourselves in your love,

We have learnt to live in your love)

 

"Tumhara intezar hai, tumhara intezar hai,

Tumhara intezar hai, meri zindagi ka sarmaya"

(Translation: I am waiting for you, I am waiting for you,

I am waiting for you, you are the treasure of my life)

 

"Tum se mil kar kya hua hai hum ko,

Tum se mil kar kuch bhi nahi hai hum ko"

(Translation: What has happened to us after meeting you,

After meeting you, we are nothing)

 

"Tumhari yaadon ke sahare jee leta hoon,

Tumhari yaadon ke sahare mar jaaon ga"

(Translation: I live on your memories,

I will die on your memories)
