Anokhi Waza Hai Sare Zamane Se Nirale Hai
Ye Aashiq Kaun Se Basti Ke Ya Rab Rehne Wale Hain

باغ بہشت سے مجھے حکم سفر دیا تھا کیوں
کار جہاں دراز ہے اب مرا انتظار کر

Baagh-e-Bahisht se mujhe hukm-e-safar diya tha kyun,
Kaar-e-jahan deraaz hai ab mera intezar kar.

Why was I ordered to leave the Garden of Heaven?
For the journey of life is long; now wait for my turn.

تو نے یہ کیا غضب کیا مجھ کو بھی فاش کر دیا
میں ہی تو ایک راز تھا سینۂ کائنات میں

Here's the English translation of the Urdu couplet:

Tu ne yeh kya ghazab kiya, mujh ko bhi faash kar diya,
Main hi to ek raaz tha seene-e-kaainaat mein.

Why did you reveal my secret and expose me,
When I was the only secret in the heart of the universe.

عروج آدم خاکی سے انجم سہمے جاتے ہیں
کہ یہ ٹوٹا ہوا تارا مہ کامل نہ بن جائے

Urooj-e-Adam-e-Khaki se anjam sahmey jaate hain,
Ke yeh toota hua tara mah-e-kamil nah ban jaaye.

The rise of mortal man makes the stars tremble,
Lest this broken star may not become a perfect moon.

نہ پوچھو مجھ سے لذت خانماں برباد رہنے کی
نشیمن سیکڑوں میں نے بنا کر پھونک ڈالے ہیں

Don't ask me the pleasure of living in luxury,
I've built hundreds of gardens and blown them away.

Do not ask me about the delight of living in comfort,
I have created hundreds of gardens and blown them away.
