ये क़िस्सा है रोने रुलाने के काबिल
उजाड़े लुटेरों ने वतन के वो महल
जिसके जितने देखने और दिखाने के काबिल
न घर है, न दर है, न बाग़ व चमन
फ़क़त हाल दिल्ली सुनाने के काबिल
"ख़िलाफ़त सल्तनत के आख़िरी चराग़"
