Rahat Indori Ghazal

रोज तारों को नुमाइश में खलल पड़ता है

चाँद पागल है अँधेरे में निकल पड़ता है

एक दीवाना मुसाफिर है मेरी आँखों में

वक़्त बेवक़्त ठहर जाता है चल पड़ता है

अपनी ताबीर के चक्कर में मेरा जागता ख्वाब

रोज़ सूरज की तरह घर से निकल पड़ता है

रोज़ पत्थर की हिमायत में ग़ज़ल लिखते हैं

रोज़ शीशों से कोई काम निकल पड़ता है

उसकी याद आई है साँसो ज़रा आहिस्ता चलो

धड़कनों से भी इबादत में खलल पड़ता है

Every day the stars' display is disrupted,

The moon, crazy, ventures out into the darkness.

A mad traveler resides in my eyes,

Time halts unexpectedly and then moves on.

In pursuit of its interpretation, my waking dream

Rises from home like the sun each day.

Every day we write ghazals in support of the stone,

Every day something productive emerges from the glass.

His memory has come, so breathe slowly,

Even the heartbeat disrupts the prayer.
